A new interactive way for Convenience Industry Council of Canada (CICC) members to explore six years of convenience industry data.

CICC members now have a clearer way to work with the annual State of the Industry Report. Shopper Marketing Media and Datalytica have introduced the State of the Industry Report Digital Companion, an interactive dashboards that turn 6 years of data into a simple and useful experience. Members can compare regions, formats, and changing market conditions without digging through long reports or trying to piece information together.

The goal is to give CICC members a quick view of what is changing, how fast it is changing, and where those shifts are happening. The dashboards help members understand the story behind the data so they can make decisions with more confidence.

What Members Can Explore

Members can use the Digital Companion to see:
• How categories move year over year
• How performance differs across provinces
• How store formats trend over time
• How market conditions shift
• How overall results rise or fall
• How volume and distribution change

Key Features

The Digital Companion is built to help members get answers fast.  Features include:
• Interactive filters
• Searchable data tables
• Clear charts and visual summaries
• 6 years of SOI history
• A consistent structure powered by Datalytica

What Is Planned Next

The Digital Companion uses SOI data today. It sits on the same foundation as the broader Datalytica platform, which supports retail media planning, inventory tools for retail advertising, and attribution. This gives CICC and Datalytica room to add future modules and deeper insight tools for members.
